Wednesday: They played awesome and won. They were up 2 points so Abbey
played her first game as goalie. No one scored on her.
Thursday: The team played terrible and Abbey got hurt 3 times!
Saturday: Championship game: they lost 2-1 but they really played their hearts out.
They played the same team they played Thursday.

Abbey's soccer photoshoot!

I think everyone knows how much I loved the red door by Jo-Anns. Every chance I got we would stop for pictures. One night after a Cache Valley Cup game we stopped and took these photos. They are my favorite soccer pictures to date!! Now the red door is gone and I'm so glad I took pictures when I could!!

A real REAL soccer game

Abbey and Trevor are very lucky because they got to go to a REAL soccer game in SL with Grandpa.
I think they had a really great time. Both kids were inpressed with how good the players were!! Now they have something to work for!!

Park City Tournament Aug 2010

I had the hardest time deciding if we were going to go to Park City. I did not want to go and sleep in a tent so when we got our RV I decided to go even without Bobby. He did drive the RV down to Park City I just had to drive it back. I am glad we did because Abbey had a really good time in the tournament. In fact, she even scored a goal and got 10 bucks for doing it!!

The girls made it to the championship game but took second place. They still got a medal which was good! After and in between games we went shopping at the outlet stores for school clothes. Hannah and Abbey were the lucky kids that got to go with us. They both got these vests from Justice-- their new favorite store!!

Cache Valley Cup July 2010

They all got their faces painted to try and psych out the other team!! It didn't work though!! They played good but lost both of their games. Losing both meant they were done in the tournament but it was a
good experience for them.

Swimming party at Coach Morgan's house

Here is Abbey at the swim party--by her face you can tell she's having fun!!

p.s. I think my other kids had fun at the party too but this blog is not about them! :)

Soccer hairbands

Abbey's team was having a get to know you bbq so we made these
hairbands for all the players!!
the girls loved them and still wear them in their hair every game!!

Abbey made the team!!

During spring season of Rec soccer Abbey was pretty frustrated. Her team was not very good for the second year in a row. Abbey ran up and down the field trying to play every position and it didn't do much good really-- it just made her really tired. We decided that in June we were going to find her a competitive team to play for. We asked around and found several options. First she tried out for the Pythons in the Samba club. It seemed very good and organized but it was A LOT of money. She made the team but we wanted to still look around. She tried out for Logan Lynx, Thunderfoot and Crush also. None of them put her on their team so we figured that it was meant to be that she was on the python team. CONGRATS ABBEY!! no more rec soccer for you!!!
